Festivals

Ryan and I have been home for a record number of weeks, having not travelled once in the last 5 months since Lilly was born. Typically we were out of town one or two weekends a month, which also meant the weekends we were home were filled with chores. By being home so much, we've had time to really enjoy some of the local flavor of where we live. And now that Lilly's a little older, she's a little more "portable". It's fun watching her take in all the new sites and sounds.

Festival of the World
About a month ago, there was a festival in Tower Grove Park that celebrated different countries from around the world. There were about 100 booths of food from different countries, as well as arts and crafts and culture dances, etc., from different countries.

Lilly also had a good time, as you can see from some of the pictures!

Strange Folk Festival
This Saturday we attended one of our local festivals that takes place in our little township's city park. It's called the Strange Folk festival and features hand-made crafts. We happened upon a local alpaca farm booth that Lilly liked.
