Memorial Day in Louisville

Two and a half years ago, our family took a trip to Louisville when Abby was just two months old. We learned recently that my maid of honor at my wedding, Stephanie, had moved with her family to Louisville, which is a mere 4 hours away. We decided to drive there for the Memorial Day weekend and visit her and her family, and just enjoy some time away from home. I regret that between her five kids and our three, we had our hands full and didn't think to take any pictures with our families together. We enjoyed having dinner with her family on Saturday night, then on Sunday we went to their church and played at a park with a splash pad afterwards. Stephanie and I had a chance to catch up, (which was really hard to do when she lived so far away in Florida!) Our kids loved playing together, too.

On Sunday night we attempted to eat dinner at a popular local seafood joint. Unfortunately, the place was SO popular that after an hour and a half wait, we actually just left without getting our food. I hate to do that, but we were hungry! Luckily, the restaurant had a playground in the yard with picnic tables around it, so we were able to just enjoy the evening while the kids played. We went to Fazoli's instead and finished the evening up with ice cream.

On Monday morning, we went to a totally hipster cafe (boy did I feel old!), then we went to the Kentucky Science Center, before heading home.
