Dallas

The week before we were in Vegas we were in Dallas. I had a week long of training at the Microsoft office down there and it made the perfect opportunity to return to my former home. This was my first time down there in 2 years, and it was great to catch up with old friends. Ryan joined me for the first weekend down there.

We stayed with my friend Mari Beth, who had the opportunity to dance the Argentinian Tango with her dance partner, Rajiv, that weekend at the Texas State Fair. They were nice enough to show us their dancing before they took off for the event.

Mari Beth and Rajiv took part in the Water is Basic 5K run that Saturday. Here they are, showing off one of their numbers that was pinned to their shirt.

On Saturday night we watched our friend Laura perform in her first Improv performance. She was taking an Improv class in downtown Fort Worth and this performance was the culmination of her class. For a type-A planner like Laura, this was a stretching experience! She did a great job and we enjoyed a lot of laughs.

It turns out that the Mexican Arts festival was taking place that weekend in downtown Fort Worth, and we enjoyed seeing some native Indian dances in a pavillion nearby.

We also got to spend a good deal in my former hometown, Grapevine. We decided to take a ride on a couple of new copper sculptures at the end of Main Street.
