1st Anniversary

We spent the last four days on vacation with Ryan's family at the Lake of the Ozarks. We all stayed at the same resort on the lake, which provided for lots of fun family time, as well as time to sit around and relax.

It also just so happens that June 9th was our first anniversary. Ryan and I opted to spend the day alone together to celebrate. Unfortunately, when we woke up that morning, it was overcast and raining. In typical Ryan and Becky fashion, we decided to have our own adventure.
We first headed out to the dam that started it all, the Bagnell dam. (They built the dam in the 20's, which created the lake.) As you can see, Ryan was trying to avoid the surveillance cameras.
I showed off my super-human strength by lifting one of the original turbines.
Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a stop at the "Dam Flea Market", where we found treasures such as the "Georgia School of Radiology" fanny packs.
Ryan says hi to various animals.

I should add that at the end of our day, we had a nice seafood dinner at a lovely restaurant with a panaormic view of the river below. We ate at sunset, which provided views of the most beautiful pinks and blues. All in all, it was a nice way to celebrate our first year together.
